Julie & Julia Book VS. Movie

Finally went to see Julie & Julia the movie my friends have been asking me to see.   The delay was due to the fact that I had not finished reading the story on my Kindle.  When it comes to book verses the movie, my theory is the book is always better so it comes first.  I side with reading the story first since, I  treasure my reading time as I  bonded with the story and characters.  Theory of book first has failed me on this one.  Julie & Julia the movie was amazing blending of two true stories.  The movie gives you more of a feel of what Julia Childs was really like.  It also a better balance between both stories of Julie & Julia making their way in the world.  Or maybe it was Meryl Streep’s ability to truly bring JC to life.  I have to say the over use of profanity in the book was distractive and has kept me from referring it to my niece.  Eat before this film or you will be tortured with hunger by all the dishes on the big screen.  Bon Appetit!

Wii Sports Resort

After racing to the Apple Store Friday night to pick up Snow Leopard we came upon a Wii Sports Resort demo extravaganza.  What a set up they had almost all 12 games up in running to sample with a coach at each station.  After playing basketball, sword fight and archery we were sold.  Next stop was Target to get the game plus a free Wii Motion Plus.  Well now we had to buy another Wii Motion Plus to ensure two people can have all the great spins and moves.  Friday night was an expensive tech purchasing evening, but provided for a very fun weekend.  Now my arm is a bit sore from all the sword fighting and my Mac is super fast with 7 G of more space. I love my tech toys!
